New three-speed gearbox extends application range

A new three-speed gearbox can be found on the Husqvarna FS 4800 D and the FS 6600 D saws. It extends the range of applications for these already versatile and powerful saws.

The FS 4800 D is a professional saw for large and mid-size jobs. The three-speed gearbox utilizes the patented power transmission system which has a right angle gearbox configuration with 12 V-belts. This transmits more power to the bladeshaft than similar models in its class, delivering 42 horsepower at the bladeshaft. The FS 4800 D features a Yanmar 48-hp, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled, diesel engine that meets current EPA requirements. The three-speed gearbox option is available on both front and rear pivot models.

The FS 6600 D is a powerful and highly efficient saw. Its power-to-size ratio makes it an extremely versatile and super-productive saw in all cutting applications. Its John Deere four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine is rated at 66 hp, has a cold start feature for use in cold weather conditions and meets current EPA requirements. The right angle gearbox configuration and 16 V-belts transmit more power to the bladeshaft than similar models in its class, delivering 60 hp at the bladeshaft.

Both saws feature the patented IntelliSeal bladeshaft system, which allows for a minimum 500-hour service interval, eliminates daily greasing of bearings and has a quick disconnect blade flange. The patent-pending multi-positional handlebars easily adjust on both saws to operator’s preference, thus increasing operator comfort and reducing fatigue.
