What about jobsite radio traffic or jobs where remotes are not allowed to operate due to frequency issues? First, each remote is programmed with its own radio ID code and each receiver is programmed only to respond to the remote with that ID code. This feature allows several remotes to work in close proximate without interference. If the contractor is operating in an area that is sensitive to signal transmission, they can easily attach a cord from the remote to the receiver and it will work without broadcasting signals.
The remote is a new and unique feature but Minnich Manufacturing took some existing features and gave them a new twist. The auto controls are now standard on all wireless machines and crab steering is now a flip switch function. Simply position the Minnich dowel drill, straighten the tires, flip a switch and drive down the concrete slab. The crab steering will keep the bed of the drill unit tight against the face of the slab without having to raise and lower the bed. Minnich also redesigned the depth adjustment. Just slide an adjustable limit sensor on the side of the cylinder and the depth is changed.
The wireless remote will be offered standard on the four- and five-gang models and as an option on the three-gang self-propelled machine.
